About the Competition

How it works

Teams register online with a full roster and a pre-screening dance video. Admitted teams meet at a General Assembly, draw their performance order, and complete their requirements before taking the stage on competition day — judged on artistry and technique, live.

Judging

Chosen Ground is judged by renowned coaches from the streetdance community, scoring out of 100: 50 points for artistry (creativity, stage presence, staging, entertainment value) and 50 for technique (musicality, difficulty, execution, synchronization). The final score drops the highest and lowest judge scores and averages the rest.

Who's behind it

Chosen Ground is organized and produced by the UP Streetdance Club — from registration and judging to the production running the show itself.
